| Mr. Thompson was born Aug. 28, 1931, in England, Ark. He was the son of John M. Thompson and Mary Sherman Thompson. He was a graduate of Dyess High School. Mr. Thompson was a school administrator and former coach, and had coached at Vanndale, McCrory, Hughes and Wilson. Mr. Thompson was married to Beverly Turner in 1955. They had two children, John W. Thompson Cheryl Daniels At the time of his death he was the purchasing agent for the Forrest City Public Schools. He was a member of the Lindauer Road Church of Christ, School Masters Association and was a Sunday School teacher. Interment was at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Forrest City, Arkansas |
