| Norman Dale Coomer was born 10 Jul 1953, son of Finis and Martha Agnes “Aggie” (Oliver) Coomer. He graduated from Van Buren High School in 1971, after an active participation record in sports. Mr. Coomer joined the Hughes faculty in 1985, and he coached and taught science until the early 1990’s. Wishing to be closer to home, Coach Coomer moved to Alma, Arkansas, and finished his teaching and coaching career in the Van Buren, Arkansas, school system. He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Coach Coomer died 25 Jan 2015, at Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas, interment in the Yoestown Cemetery, Yoestown, Crawford County, Arkansas |
