| Jamie Pauline (Aycock) Taylor was born on January 16, 1934 in Derma, Calhoun County, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Spencer Sutton Aycock and Pauline Boland. Mrs. Taylor graduated from Grenada High School in 1952 and she attended Delta State College (University) where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Mrs. Taylor later attended the University of Mississippi where she received a Master of Arts degree in Home Economics. In 1957 Miss Aycock came to Hughes and taught Home Economics. In 1963 she married John William Taylor of Memphis, Tenn. Mrs. Taylor afterwards continued to teach home economics and elementary education in the Shelby County, TN school system during the 1960s and worked as a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother the remaining years of her life.
