1960-61 saw several changes around the school. A new football scoreboard was added
thanks to the Coca Cola Bottling Co. A new dressing room was added under the bleachers to
the gym (Old Gym). Four new buses were purchased and a new drainage system was
installed on the south end of the campus.
New faculty members in 1960-61 were:
Miss Lucille Gibbons, 2nd Grade
Miss Virginia Gibbons, 3rd Grade
Mr. W. H. Pope, Science/Biology/History
Mr. Claude Hood, Math
Mrs. George Doty, Librarian
Mr. James Swaffer, Coach
Mrs. James Swaffer, Home Economics
