| Miss Flood was born August 1896, daughter of James and Victoria Jane (Weeks) Flood. She married September 1, 1917, in Lafayette County, Arkansas, to Hughes native Charles W. Hulen, and they settled in Hughes, where Mrs. Hulen served on the Hughes faculty as a voice teacher prior to 1920. She was a sister of Mary Delle Flood Underwood Libby, also a Hughes teacher, and mother of HHS graduate Charles William Hulen, Jr. The exact date of Mrs. Hulen’s passing is uncertain, but her place of interment is Forrest Park Cemetery, Forrest City. Her stone is not inscribed with dates. |
