| Edna Bond Gibson 1922-1966 Elementary Tenure: ’1949-1951 |
| Miss Gibson was born in Ashley County, Arkansas, to Frank A. and Edna (Bond) Gibson. She received her higher education at Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway, and she taught 2nd grade at Hughes for two years. Miss Gibson eventually returned to her hometown of Dermott in Chicot County, where she died at the young age of 44 in 1966, burial in the Dermott City Cemetery. |
