| Ava Ruth (Baldridge) Linn June 19, 1915 – July 27, 2009 Tenure: 1940 |
| Mrs. Linn and her twin sister Ara, also a Hughes teacher, were born June 19, 1915 in Pearson, Cleburne County, Arkansas, daughters of Harvey and Myrtle (Webb) Baldridge. She graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College (Now UCA) in 1936, and she appears in the 1940 Census for Hughes as a public school teacher. She married James Randolph Linn on 12 Nov 1944 at Conway, Faulkner County, Arkansas, and they settled in his hometown of Arab, Alabama. Mrs. Linn taught business education courses at Arab High School until retirement. She died July 29, 2009, burial in Arab Memorial Cemetery. |
