| Albert Edward Caldwell Jr. October 31 – February 28, 1973 High School Principal Tenure: 1968 -1972 |
| Albert Edward Caldwell Jr. was born on October 31, 1906 in Obion County, Tennessee, son of Albert Edward Sr. and Anna May (Clour) Caldwell. He received his MS Degree from the University of Tennessee and served as Superintendent of Schools at Dardanelle, Arkansas, from 1963 to 1968. Mr. Caldwell came to Hughes as the High School Principal in the fall of 1968, and Mrs. Caldwell served as the Guidance Counselor at nearby Marianna High School. After retirement in 1972, he and Mrs. Caldwell moved to Newbern, Tennessee. Mr. Caldwell entered the hospital soon after with Pneumonia and a kidney ailment, but had returned home where he died of a heart attack two days later on February 28, 1973. |
